Nature, land, air, water and all other things around us in which we live are called environment. Any abnormal change in chemical, physical and biological characteristics in environment is called the environmental pollution. At present our environment is getting polluted every moment. The cities are filled with fume and smoke form motor vehicles, mills and factories. The seas are polluted by industrial waste, chemicals and other poisons. Many lakes and rivers have become filthy. Forest and tree are cut down of a latge sclae. We have noise from motor vehicles, mills and factories, aeroplanes, domestic appliance, radio, radio, television and so on.
It is another from of pollution. The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we take are not always absolutely pure for health. The price of population could not be the death of mankind. Large amount of municipal and industrial wastes are poured into rivers, lakes, bays, seas contaminating them with highly topic chemicals resulting in death of many lives. As a result our environment is getting more and more heat. Noise affects our hearing, our nerves and our ability to work efficiently. We must take effective step to control pollution. It is very important to keep the environment clean and free from pollution.
